(Gothenburg) The journey with the eSmart to the botanical garden takes about 20 minutes for just under 9 km.
There are practically more people on bicycles, on foot and other small vehicles in Gothenburg (in this extraordinary weather) than in cars. The traffic turnaround with a large number of electric cars can be observed very positively here.
In any case, I have to visit Sweden, um, Gothenburg one more time. Currently, the Botanical Garden, which will be 100 years old in 2023>> is being extremely modernized.

Welcome to botany!
The park was created by the botanist and explorer Carl Skottsberg and opened in 1923. Previously, there was an idyllic estate with meadows, forests and Ahhöhen. The hilly terrain is characteristic of Botaniska and gives the gardens their special charm.
Scientific botany forms the basis of the Botanical Garden. From the very beginning, the focus was on education and research, as well as horticulture and recreation. Botaniska has been working with the University of Gothenburg since the 1950s. The facility is actively used in the field of education and rehabilitation: for example, in the school garden and through “green rehab”, which has proven to be particularly valuable for stress patients.
The plants, cultivated in great variety, attract each with its own beauty. Gothenburg is on the botanical map of the world for good reason, not least thanks to the unique wild collection of bulbs and tubers. In spring, they show their most beautiful side in the field.
