Gardens of Mossèn Costa i Llobera

The Jardins de Mossèn Costa i Llobera are one of the Europe’s most important themed gardens. The park is located at the foot of Montjuïc in Barcelona and is named after the Mallorcan priest and poet
Miquel Costa i Llobera. The gardens, which are about three hectares in size, are home to a significant number of exotic plants.

The park is located in the Sants-Montjuïc district. The entrance is located south of the city hill between Carretera de Miramar and Paseo de Josep Carner.

This part of the city enjoys a particular
microclimate, about 2 or 3 degrees higher
than the average temperature of Barcelona.

The reason for this is the sheltered location, which offers optimal conditions for the cultivation of tropical plants. The park provides a spectacular views of the coast and the port of Barcelona.

It is located just one kilometer from the  statue  ofColumbus

at the end of the Rambla, but is not visible from the city.
