Economics is important and good. However, (youth) unemployment is a real problem here:
See graph in third place…. Uhoh. And the social system has been gradually reduced, er, reformed for several years.
The youth unemployment rate in the EU-27 was around 14.4 % in April 2024, more than twice as high as the average for all persons in employment.
The lowest rates were recorded in Germany at 5.8%, Malta at 7.1% and the Czech Republic at 7.5%. The highest proportions were recorded in Spain (26.5%) and Sweden (24.2%).
