After the Corona pandemic is before the H5N1 pandemic. (2)

    (World) In Hong Kong, there was a major outbreak that ended massively, successfully and quite bloodily.

    In the USA there are currently (as of March – June 2024) several (!) Outbreaks of the extremely deadly bird flu (one of the many mutations) that has made the leap to mammals.

    However, mortality is drastically higher with H5N1 bird flu.

    In March 2024, U.S. health officials reported that A/H5N1 was detected in dairy cows for the first time in the world in Texas and Kansas and that there was a transfer of the virus to a human.

    Transitions of A/H5N1 from poultry to humans have been very rare so far, but often lead to a fatal course in infected people.

    Several human-to-human transitions have occurred, but could not be proven with absolute certainty.
