This language is incredibly difficult and quite unique in Europe. And very, very many people in Hungary speak Hungarian. So ONLY Hungarian!

The Irish suffered the same fate in the 19th century. They were clever and established English as an official language.

Around the middle of the 19th century, the Irish abolished traditional Irish Gaelic.

Today, English is the mother tongue of almost all Irish; Few can understand Irish Gaelic.

This means that a rich, venerable language has been lost – this may be a sad loss, but it is, frankly, also a great gain for the nation, as it now has an international language. Billions of people can easily read the works of Irish authors, not to mention the advantages in the commercial, military, et cetera realm of life.
