I went to Eastern Europe with the feeling that I had to take good care of my things.
This is complete nonsense and just a stereotype of prejudice.
Of course, there are also hot spots here, especially in large cities. JUST like in Germany!
As far as crime is concerned, Hamburg, Frankfurt or Berlin are considerably (!) more dangerous than the cities in Poland or Slovakia.
So far, I have only had positive experiences. Most people are just normal people just like in Germany and of course there are few thieves here as well.
I have no problem leaving the trailer open in the back with the car and driving to the grocery store.
Also that under the awning there were still things left on the table while I was gone. No problem.
