I have been meeting truck drivers for 10 months now and am always amazed at the ignorance and lack of interest in the future of my own children and grandchildren.
They let the engines run and run and run while the vehicle is parked in a parking lot.
I do NOT mean the refrigerated vehicles, with the external cooling system!
Sometimes I ask them why. For charging the TV or notebook or air conditioning at just 22° Celsius.

The U.S. has been ahead of the curve for years.
In Germany, it is also prohibited to run engines. But no one cares.
It is not necessarily a sovereign task to control this.
This can also, like towing, be controlled by private companies.
