Electrolytic Capacitors

These types of capacitors are most often affected by defects. They age by drying out or crystallizing the electrolytes. This even applies to electrolytic capacitors (electrolytic capacitors) that are not installed and are stored in the drawer. Therefore, you should never immediately put old devices and electrolytic capacitors under full voltage, because they will burst in 80 percent of the cases and cause a huge mess. To revive old stored electrolytic capacitors, it is better to form them with a slowly increasing DC voltage over several hours. And in order not to destroy installed electrolytic capacitors in old electronic devices, the operating voltage is slowly increased via a control transformer.

Since defective electrolytic capacitors tend to outgas, they have a predetermined breaking point through which the gas inside can escape.

(World) A real problem is that probably an incredible number of people take over information from an AI unchecked and unvalidated. Especially since many answers are simply wrong and, above all, incomplete. And then people, whether privately or professionally, act according to the “specifications” of an […]
Today it will rain from time to time. A good day to clear out the trailer and set up the playroom. With the eSmart, today on the Sunday off, drive through the city and explore. And to F21? The weather forecast is good. Which sights? Luleå […]
(Lulea /Sweden) I’m thinking back and forth about how sensible and ecological it is to go to the Nordkapp. There is nothing but a rusty globe. Mmmh And the same landscape as here. Why did I go north? Right to avoid heat and heat waves in […]
(30 km on the highway before Luleå) Breakdown at the exhaust. In any case, I can’t go on like this. Let it cool down first. And then either unscrew it from the clamp at the back or attach it to the top with an extremely long […]
